In honour of the Association's 60th Anniversary, the Board of Directors elected to award an additional scholarship ($1,000) this year to a deserving student.
We are delighted to announce our four scholarship recipients for 2026 and celebrate their outstanding academic achievements, community involvement, and future aspirations.
The board and staff are excited to introduce the recipients of the 2026 Concrete Atlantic Annual Scholarship Award!

WILL CASEY has been selected as our first scholarship recipient. Will graduated from Cobequid Educational Centre in Truro and is the son of Bruce and Natalie Casey of Casey Concrete. He will begin the Applied Science (Engineering) program at Acadia University this September.
EMILY O'NIEL is our second recipient, Emily O'Neil, hails from Sydney, Nova Scotia. A recent graduate of Riverview High School, Emily will be entering the Pre-Veterinary program at the University of Prince Edward Island this fall. She is the daughter of Tyler O'Neil of Quality Concrete in Sydney.
CALEIGH SHERRING is our third scholarship recipient. A graduate of Auburn Drive High School, Caleigh has been accepted into the Bachelor of Arts and Social Sciences program, majoring in Law, Justice and Society, at Dalhousie University. She is the daughter of Phillip Sherring and Chelsea Eyland. Phillip is employed with Bedford Ready Mix.
CLAIRE YOUNG is our fourth and final scholarship recipient. A graduate of Rothesay Netherwood School in Rothesay, New Brunswick, Claire has been accepted into the Bachelor of Science program at Dalhousie University beginning this September. She is the daughter of Josh Young and Christina Tarn. Josh is President of Southwest Concrete.
This year's recipients were selected based on a combination of academic achievement, extracurricular involvement, community and charitable engagement, and a personal essay submitted as part of the application process.
Once again, congratulations to Will, Emily, Caleigh, and Claire on their outstanding achievements. We wish them every success as they begin this exciting new chapter.

PAM WOODMAN
Pam Woodman joined the ACA team in March 2016! Pam has been the Executive Director for Landscape NovaScotia Horticultural Trades Association since 2008 and worked previously as Program Director for the Environmental Services Association of Nova Scotia for 11 years prior. Pam has over 30 years experience working with not-for-profit organizations, specifically with industry associations. She holds a diploma in Architectural Technology and another in Land Use Planning and has been designated as a Registered Canadian Professional Manager with the Canadian Professional Manager’s Association.
